Woodbury Creek

Winding through New Jersey suburbs Woodbury and Deptford, this Creek offers plenty of wildlife. Hearing the birdsong between jets coming and going from the Philadelphia International Airport is strange. The airplane sounds dissipate as one paddles up the Creek, but the bird chatter does not, thankfully. At the Confluence of Hessian Run, a former landfill is being capped and is slated to become a solar energy farm. Below this is a still active landfill. For all of that, the Creek is attractive and full of wildlife. Woodbury Creek provides a pleasant urban creek experience.
